Why we love working for Riedman Development

Cedar Commons Apartments is a great place to work. Riedman Development offers many incentives to the residents as well as prospective tenants, and also cares for their staff very well.

For example, one of the reasons that the maintenance and office staff enjoys working for the company is that they are able to take advantage of living on-site! This is a plus for the residents as well since it makes it seem like we’re one big family at Cedar Commons Apartments. The office personnel love living on-site and enjoy the many perks of living where they work – especially in the winter when they can simply walk to work. The maintenance team also enjoys the benefits of residing here, since it makes the 24/7 emergency maintenance service more convenient for everyone.

Cedar Commons is a great place to not only live, but also work at and enjoy the many advantages of work and life combined!

Our amenities are just one of the reasons you love living here!

Have you noticed all of the convenient amenities that Cedar Commons Apartments includes in our low rent rates? Not only do we offer two spacious floor plans with plentiful closet space, but our rent also includes major utilities and services.

Your heat and hot water are paid for by the company, so do not limit your heat usage during the long winter season. We also provide 24-hour maintenance service for emergent issues such as having no heat or hot water, so help is just a quick phone call away. Most important of all, we have prompt snow removal to ensure safety and convenience for our residents during the treacherous winter months.

Please do not hesitate to call us at the office with any questions, concerns or simple inquiries about the services we offer as well as our seasonal specials at (585) 621-3100. Currently, we are offering one month free rent on all units or reduced rent for deluxe units. Also, for our current residents we always have our $200 referral reward program.

Thank you!!

Getting to Know Your Staff at Cedar Commons!

At Cedar Commons Apartments, we love to ensure quality housing as well as superior customer service and residential care. Without the maintenance and office staff, we would be unable to provide such excellence. Please take some time to get to know your Resident Manager and Leasing Consultants, who work very hard to fulfill residents’ requests via communication with maintenance and management, as well as to promote the property throughout the community and offer exceptional service prospects.

Katherine Ayala, our Resident Manager, strives to continuously improve the quality of living here at Cedar Commons Apartments. She is always up-to-date with current events and social arenas, and promotes them throughout our community – from communication to participation. When Katie is not in the office caring for others, she loves to spend time with her husband and young daughter watching TV (especially football – rooting for her Oakland Raiders!) She also enjoys playing for her area bowling leagues. Katie achieved her Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts, Human Services and has definitely put that to hard-work thus far and in years to follow. We are proud to call her our Resident Manager.

Jessica Nicholson, a Leasing Consultant at Cedar Commons, is the proud wife of an Army reserve military husband. They love living in the North Greece area surrounded by family and friends. They are very active in the community, and also enjoy traveling around New York. Jessica likes walking, especially down at the beach on nice days, but prefers the cooler weather and is one of few not to complain when we get our first snow-fall. She also has a huge passion for animals and wishes she could save all of the homeless or abandoned ones. (She is always trying to help them, just as she loves to care for our current and future residents.) Jessica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is excited to utilize the best of her abilities in this environment and in her future endeavors.

Kelli Jean Stevens, also a Leasing Consultant, is a recent graduate of Brockport College with a Bachelor of Science in Communications, and is currently working on a Master of Arts in English, with plans to eventually pursue her Ph.D. in Journalism. Kelli Jean loves to write, and is a part-time freelance columnist for the “Food and Wine Channel” of Examiner.com, and is an Independent Consultant for Tastefully Simple foods. She is responsible for our Facebook blog content as well as our seasonal newsletter for Cedar Commons Apartments. She enjoys bowling in a weekly league with her friends, and will soon be auditioning to join a major DCA (Drum Corps Association) group, the Empire Statesmen. In her rare free-time she loves being home with her new husband and their puppy, Seger, a “Dorkie.” While leading a very busy and active life, Kelli Jean loves working at Cedar Commons and devoting her time to caring for the community.

We hope you enjoyed learning about those who care for our current and future residents of Cedar Commons Apartments in the administrative aspect of the community. Please feel free to stop by the office to learn more about the property, or pick up your seasonal newsletter for some great tips, recipes, and activities!

Soak It Up!!!

“So Long Sweet Summer,” a popular song by Dashboard Confessional, sums it up pretty well. This summer has been one of the hottest on record, with few rainy days, a drastic difference from last year. However, just as quick as summer approached, it is already coming to an end. With only a few weeks left, take advantage of some fun in the sun with the many various activities North Greece has to offer in our area!

Here are some ideas for you and your family or friends to enjoy from the convenient location of Cedar Commons Apartments:

  • Jump in our newly-renovated community pool, a perfect way to cool off.
  • Plan a cook-out and barbecue some summer recipes, but please remember to use gas grills only for safety reasons.
  • Visit Charlotte for some Abbott’s frozen custard, fun water-front restaurants and bars, the pier and the beach, only a couple miles from the complex.
  • Enjoy Basil Morella Park with beautiful scenery, basketball courts and an extensive playground.

Go out and embrace this weather while it lasts and have a safe and fun rest of summer. Safe travels to those taking some last-minute vacations!

New Payment Methods!

Cedar Commons has recently added a new payment method in our office. We are now accepting all major credit or debit cards for most office transactions. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. You may pay all rent, holding fees, application fees, pet deposits and pet fees with your card. We can process transactions in the office or over the phone with your card present. Offering a wider variety of payment options is yet another convenience available for Cedar Commons’ current and pending residents as well as applicants. (We are unable to accept credit card payments for laundry card refills and security deposits.)

We hope you enjoy this new system and that it is beneficial for your future transactions!

What Sets Us Apart

We have renovated all buildings with new siding and security-enhanced entry doors, as well as new hot water heaters and boiler systems. Windows in all apartments are new and come with window treatments, with the option of a window seat or ledge in select units. We also feature a newly remodeled large pool and deck area.

We recently replaced all washers and dryers in all buildings and now use the card system rather than coin-operated machines. We provide one washer and one dryer on the second floor of each individual building as opposed to one large W/D facility on site or machines in the basement area. There is a total of only four apartment units per building in which the machines are shared among neighbors.

Cedar Commons also offers the option of renting either a deluxe, remodeled apartment or a standard, original apartment. The deluxe apartments feature upgrades in the kitchen and bathroom, such as newer counter tops, cupboards, and appliances as well as newer flooring throughout the apartment. In every apartment the kitchen also includes a pass-through counter top or breakfast bar that separates the kitchen area from the eat-in/dining area.

All one bedroom apartments come with an additional half bedroom with a window for multi-purpose use, perfect as an office, storage area, small spare bedroom, or nursery. There is an abundance of closet space in both floor plans, especially in the two bedroom apartments.

Lastly, our large apartment community is conveniently located by plentiful shopping, dining and for summer fun it is only a few minutes from Charlotte Beach/Lake Ontario!
